2 - The System of Monitoring of the fishing vessels

The SIMOCEP is also recognized worldwide for VMS (Vessel Monitoiring Systyem), and aims to monitor fishing vessels, domestic and foreign, licensed in East Timor, for the purpose of monitoring and supervision of the exercise of fishing, in order to improve the management of fisheries resources of East Timor, to combat illegal fishing and improve the sustainable management of marine resources nationals.
The Council decided to review the two projects at a future meeting.

2 - Decree establishing the Organic Law of the Secretary of State of the Council of Ministers.

1 - Resolution approving the Initial Report of the Convention for the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
The Democratic Republic of East Timor signed in 2002 and ratified the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW), and at the time of signing, assumed the responsibility to submit to the Committee of CEDAW, the United Nations, an Initial Report, one year after its ratification by Parliament and, every four years, a periodic report.
The Initial Report covers the period since independence, the May 20, 2002, until May 19, 2006. Seeking to give an overview on the status of women in East Timor and has the purpose to comply with the obligations of the Government of the Republic of East Timor to CEDAW.
The Council of Ministers at its meeting today, approved the Initial Report of the Convention for the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW).
